Dot Republic Media is Headed to MIPCOM Cannes 2026!

We’re heading back to the Croisette — Dot Republic Media (DRM) will be at MIPCOM Cannes 2026, the world’s largest market for television, streaming, and entertainment content.

📍 Venue: Palais des Festivals, Cannes, France
📅 Dates: October 12 – 15, 2026

Why this year is different

MIPCOM’s 2026 edition is built around a single idea: convergence. For the first time, the market is putting traditional broadcasters, streamers, digital creators, and generative-AI companies in the same rooms with new tracks like the MIP AI Entertainment Forum and a dedicated Microdrama & Vertical Content programme sitting alongside the usual keynote stages. Netflix and YouTube headline the opening day, and the conversation this year is less “TV vs. digital” and more “how do these worlds actually work together.”

That convergence is exactly the space DRM already sits in, and this year we’re arriving with more to show for it than a pitch deck.

What DRM is bringing to Cannes this year

A new production arm, not just a distribution one. Earlier this year we released our first AI-generated short film, an in-house production built on a pipeline we developed from scratch scripting for AI generation, directing without a physical set, editing for rhythm. It’s early, and it’s the first of an ongoing line of releases, but it marks a real shift: DRM is no longer just the team that helps your content travel across markets, we’re now originating some of our own.

A first look at what’s next. Building on that same pipeline, we’re now in production on IJ, DRM’s first feature-length original, slated for release in 2027. It’s the clearest signal yet of where our in-house studio is headed, and we’ll be sharing early details with select partners in Cannes.

A deeper localization and dubbing bench. The core of what we do hasn’t changed, expert linguists, high-quality AI and human dubbing, and data-driven audience targeting across 30+ languages, still with zero cost to our partners for unlocking new markets. What’s changed is the network we’re doing it for: DRM now reaches 195M+ subscribers across our channels, distributing 48B+ minutes of content a year.

Real partnerships, not just plans. Over the past year we’ve moved into rights acquisition and co-production conversations in earnest, including our recent partnership with Sony Pictures to localise and distribute premium dramas globally, the kind of deal MIPCOM exists to make happen.

What we’re looking for in Cannes

  • Creators and producers who want distribution, monetization, and localization handled end-to-end so they can focus on the work
  • Studios and rights holders exploring co-production, rights acquisition, or shared ownership
  • Broadcasters and platforms interested in what AI-assisted production actually looks like in practice, not just in a keynote

We’ll be sharing highlights, session recaps, and takeaways from the floor throughout the week including how the AI Entertainment Forum conversations line up with what we’re already building in-house.

See you in Cannes.
