YouTube Shorts Can Now Be Monetized
If you have not been able to be a part of the YouTube Shorts Fund, but you are great in creating the ‘YouTube Shorts’ format content on YouTube, here is some good news:
As part of the Google announcements in Google Earnings report, an initial test of ads between Shorts clips has been launched. Which was originally not the case and with millions of views creators were not able to earn much revenue.
YouTube Shorts is a 60 seconds long format, vertical video, which has trending sounds and music or a quick hack or conversation, something similar to what is there on other platforms like TikTok and Instagram (Reels). YouTube Shorts has around 15 billion views per day now and has grown exponentially.
YouTube Shorts is great for:
- Quick content to increase the channel subscribers
- Promote your main long format content with quick snippets
- Share updates with your viewers
- Share quick hacks
- Use music to recreate fun content out of your main content or broll
To create a YouTube Shorts video, you can make or edit on the YouTube app itself, or upload a vertical 60 seconds video, along with the #shorts hashtag.
Want to grow your Shorts portfolio? Here are some tips and tricks:
- Use trending sounds
- Create shorts content which is different from the long format content
- Use the #Shorts hashtag
- Remove logos or watermarks – be as organic as possible
- Shorts analytics are visible on the dashboard, make sure you keep watching the trend on what type of Shorts videos are working better
What are you waiting for, as the only thing that can help your channel grow is to keep trying out new things!
