Wounded Love
During the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire after World War I, Smyrna is invaded. Colonel Cevdet (Halit Ergenç) is a patriotic soldier and a devoted husband to Azize (Bergüzar Korel) and father to Ali Kemal (Kubilay Aka), Yıldız (Pınar Deniz), and Hilal (Miray Daner). While fighting alongside Colonel Tevfik (Onur Saylak), Cevdet’s life is turned upside down by a dramatic event. He must leave his family behind for a secret mission, while Tevfik helps Azize and the children migrate from Thessaloniki. Cevdet faces a heartbreaking choice between his duty to his country and his love for his family. The story explores the impact of war on personal relationships and whether true love can survive amidst such turmoil.
